ChatGPT has my gym hours or prices wrong. How do I fix it?

Short answer: AI tools like ChatGPT, Google AI, Claude and Grok build answers from what they can find on the web: your website, your Google Business Profile, listing sites and reviews. If those places disagree, or your real info is only in a picture or PDF, the AI may guess or use old info. You cannot edit the AI answer directly. You fix the sources: put your hours, prices and classes on your website as plain text, make your Google profile match exactly, and update or remove old listings.

Where wrong info comes from

  • Old hours or prices still on your site, a listing site or an old Facebook page.
  • Hours or schedule only in an image, a PDF or an Instagram post.
  • Your website and Google profile show different hours or phone numbers.
  • A page from years ago (for example "temporary hours") that is still live.

How to fix it, step by step

  • Step 1: Ask ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Google about your gym's hours, prices and classes. Write down every mistake.
  • Step 2: Put your hours, address, phone and a starting price on your website as text, not as a picture.
  • Step 3: Make your Google Business Profile match your site exactly, including holiday hours.
  • Step 4: Search your gym name and fix or delete old listings, pages and posts with old info.
  • Step 5: Add an FAQ that answers the questions the AI got wrong.
  • Step 6: Ask the same AI questions again in a few weeks. Some tools update faster than others.
